About the author
Jamie Thornton is a New York Times bestselling author of science fiction and fantasy. While growing up, she was allowed to check out ALL the books from the public library, so whenever the real world turned too complicated, she escaped into other worlds full of zombies, apocalypses, portals, arcane mysteries, and quests for relics. An anthropology major in college, she then taught middle school science for a really long time while writing her own stories.
Known for the Doormaker portal fantasy series, and the Zombies Are Human apocalypse series, her work has recently been optioned for TV. In addition to writing, she enjoys talking to her animals, pretending she’s a good gardener, and falling into research wormholes. She lives in Northern California with her husband in an old brick house that may or may not be haunted.
